BENNI
A sweet, energetic pup with a whole lot of love to give and his best days ahead of him.
At just 1½ years old, Benni arrived at the shelter feeling run-down. He had a roundworm infection, anemia, and later Giardia. With medication, probiotics, and follow-up testing, he got the treatment he needed and his final test came back clean. Benni is young, healthy, and ready to put those hard days behind him.

A resilient senior girl with a gentle heart, looking for a loving home to cherish her golden years.
At 9 years young, Annie has shown remarkable strength. She has diabetes and has received insulin therapy and glucose monitoring. When she developed pancreatitis and a urinary tract infection, she received prompt treatment and follow-up care. Through every appointment, Annie has been a little lady: gentle, determined, and full of love.

A sweet senior gentleman with a gentle spirit and a lot of love left to give.
Sweet Spot needed extra care along the way, including treatment for a urinary tract infection, a skin infection, dental care, and management of a heart murmur that requires medication and monitoring. Through every visit, Spot has been calm, sweet, and grateful. A true gentleman who deserves a soft place to land.

A lovable 13-year-old gentleman who deserves every comfort his golden years can bring.
At 13 years young, little Chico is one special senior. He received care for chronic skin irritation and infection, including medicated baths and medication. Veterinarians also evaluated a small eyelid mass and his dental health. Through it all, Chico remained his sweet, lovable self: a tiny guy with a very big heart.

At 9 years young, Ezra received a thorough senior wellness exam. A small lump on her chest was evaluated and confirmed benign, a fatty lipoma. Her X-rays were clear, her teeth looked good, and no further treatment was needed. Sometimes the best news veterinary care can offer is the peace of mind that everything is okay.

At 9 years young, handsome Zino received a thorough senior wellness exam. Two lumps were evaluated and confirmed as benign lipomas, with no cause for concern. His X-rays were clear and his teeth looked good. Zino got the reassuring news every senior pup deserves and can now focus on finding the family he has been waiting for.

A tough, resilient young pup with his whole whole happy life still ahead of him.
At just 1½ years old, Max came into care with a respiratory infection and a complete leg fracture. With treatment, X-rays, medication, and time to heal, his leg improved so well that surgery was no longer needed. Max returned to the shelter healthy and ready to find a family.

A sweet 2-year-old boy full of life who does not let limited vision slow him down.
At just 2 years old, sweet Squirrel received specialized care when concerns arose about his vision. Ophthalmology testing confirmed his retinas are healthy, though he may have some vision limitation. He was also treated for a painful ear infection, which resolved with care. Squirrel has handled everything with grace and is ready for a family who will adore him just as he is.

At 8 years young, sweet Roxy received extra care to keep her comfortable. She has hip dysplasia and also needed dental care and surgery to remove an uncomfortable eye growth. She recovered well and continues to show everyone just how special senior dogs can be.

At 7 years old, sweet Sarah arrived with a painful wound on her leg and received extensive care including X-rays, medication, bandage changes, and a bone biopsy. Thankfully, the biopsy showed no cancer. With her foster family by her side through countless appointments, this resilient girl showed just how strong she truly is.

He received specialist evaluations, X-rays, medication, and regular follow-up care. At his most recent specialist visit, everything looked good and Robby is continuing to improve. This special pup has a whole lot of life ahead of him.

A gentle senior girl who got the medical care she needed and found exactly the family she was waiting for.
Kahlua came to Agoura Animal Care Center needing treatment for painful dental disease and ear infections. After receiving comprehensive senior medical care, she recovered beautifully and was ready for her next chapter. A wonderful couple looking for a calm, easygoing companion fell in love with her, renamed her Kona, and now say, "She is just wonderful. We love her so much."

THEO
A handsome senior gentleman with plenty of love, purrs, and good years still ahead.
At 10 years young, handsome Theo needed a little extra care to stay comfortable. His exam and lab work looked good, but two broken teeth were found and safely removed during his dental procedure. Theo is FIV-positive, which simply means he needs a loving indoor home. It does not stop him from being the affectionate, wonderful companion he is.

At 11 years young, sweet Acer received a dental procedure that included the removal of five painful teeth. When she later developed urinary problems, she received additional treatment, a special diet, medication, and close monitoring. This lovely senior lady has been through a lot, but she keeps going with quiet grace.

At just 5 months old, little Catrick Swayze suffered a spinal fracture that left him in pain and affected his breathing. He received treatment, pain management, X-rays, and rest to give his tiny body the time it needed. With each checkup, he made progress, and his breathing returned nearly to normal. This brave little kitten has come so far.

At 6 years old, handsome Houdini needed serious dental care to feel his best. After being diagnosed with significant dental disease, he underwent a major procedure that included removing nearly all of his teeth. With those painful teeth behind him, this sweet Siamese can focus entirely on feeling better and enjoying every moment of his next chapter.

At around 9 months old, little Mosaic received specialist care for calicivirus and herpesvirus respiratory infections. She also underwent dental treatment with several painful teeth removed. With continued care, Mosaic began feeling better, eating, and playing again. This tiny patient has a lot of fight in her.

MAVERICK
A tiny burn survivor with an enormous purr and an incredible will to heal.
At just 2 months old, Maverick arrived at Agoura Animal Care Center with painful first- and second-degree burns across multiple areas of his tiny body. He needed intensive veterinary treatment, medications, close monitoring, and medical foster care as his wounds healed. Despite losing portions of his ear and tail to the damage, Maverick never lost his spirit. Today, he is confident, playful, incredibly cuddly, and still an instant purr machine.
