HHA is not a shelter or rescue. HHA aids animals at Agoura Animal Care Center by covering the cost of essential veterinary care, diagnostics, and medications to restore a homeless pets' health and to boost the chance of adoption by a caring family.
Your donation to Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) makes a direct impact on the lives of homeless animals by funding essential programs and services. 96% of funds donated go directly to animals in need of medical care, and 4% cover operating expenses.
Any animal in need of medical treatment while impounded at Agoura Animal Care Center is eligible for funding under HHA. Over the past 28 years we have funded exams, procedures and medications for dogs, cats, rabbits, pot belly pigs, horses, goats, sheep, reptiles, and birds.
The Agoura Animal Care Center. If an animal is approved for transfer from another LA County Center (such as Baldwin Park, Carson, Castaic, Downey, Lancaster or Palmdale) then it becomes an Agoura animal and is eligible to receive HHA support.
All members of the HHA and Board of Directors are Agoura Animal Care Center volunteers. HHA, as a non-profit, is a separate organization from AACC and LA County and receives no funding from the county. HHA’s mission and purpose are to fund medical care for animals impounded.
